Sleep

Not sleeping when you have a new (or not so new) baby can be very challenging for new parents. It affects your ability to function normally and think clearly. The good news is most babies start sleeping a meaningful stretch (4-6 hours) by about 2-3 months of age. By 6-9 months many babies are sleeping through the night but others can take a bit longer. Like other developmental milestones, babies will sleep through the night when they are developmentally ready not when we are ready for them to. If you are struggling with infant sleep talk to us at your next well visit.
